DIY Fall Wall Art: Pressed Leaves Canvas

Fall is a great season. A season when trees give us the most spectacular show of colours while changing their leaves. This is the time to collect and press those fallen leaves.
We have many framed art pieces I made gracing the walls at home. I used white canvas is one my favorite framing alternatives. They are affordable, easy to find at your art or craft store, clean, simple and perfect as a background for leaves collages.

This DIY Fall Wall Art project requires very little materials and time. Make a few in different canvas sizes and group them on a wall. Let’s get to it!

MATERIALS:

White canvas 10 X 8 inches

White glue

Brush

Pressed Fall leaves {four Autumn Teardrops in different shades of brown and yellow}

INSTRUCTIONS:

1-      Gather four dried leaves.

2-      Arrange your dried leaves layout on a sheet of paper. My layout was inspired by urban spaces and intended to be a very simple – minimalist look.

3-      Using a brush add white glue to the back of your leaves. One at a time.

TIP: Use small drops of glue.

4-      Place and glue your leaves following your layout design.

5-      Let dry completely.

Your DIY Fall Wall Art is ready to grace a wall at home. Make a few and give as one-of-a-kind gifts Enjoy!

NOTE: If you wish to learn more about pressing botanicals. Read my post about How to Press your own Flowers here.

Take a stroll and enjoy the beauty of Fall!
