How to embed a Flickr Album on a Blogger blog page or post.

Today I am sharing a tutorial on how to embed a Flickr Album on a Blogger blog page or post.
As it always happens with technology things constantly change (a bit or completely) from time to time...or all of a sudden. We find ourselves in an endless learning process having to understand how these new things work. Even the ones we thought we knew are now done in a new way.

Although if feels like a punishment (I get it!) usually these changes happen for the better so we shouldn't complaint too much. Let's embrace change.

Flickr has been my photo and media sharing platform for a long, long time, way back since I started blogging! My design portfolios are stored and displayed there.
Lately, I have noticed on the Flickr forums many people have trouble embedding their albums on blogs. Today I am here to share how I made mine work.

This is what I did:

  1. Sign in to Flickr and choose the album you want to embed on your blog.
  2. See your album's URL on the browser? Great!
  3. Type and add /show to the end of your album's URL.
  4. This is the URL of my album below as an example
  5. https://www.flickr.com/photos/gabrieladelworth/sets/72157678998893940/show
  6. You will then see your album's URL highlighted in blue right below.
  7. See that now - visit has also been added to it?
  8. Click on it!
  9. Then on the next page your album's URL will look like the one below.
  10. https://www.flickr.com/photos/gabrieladelworth/sets/72157678998893940/show
  11. Noticed that right after your name instead of albums it says sets?
  12. Now look on the right upper corner and click on the "Share" option.
  13. From there and on the next page you can even customize your slide show as I did with my portfolios here
  14. Go to your blog post of page.
  15. Click on HTML.
  16. Embed your album's code.
  17. Click Compose and take a look at the Preview. That's it!
I really hope you found my instructions clear enough and your slide show is up.
