Pollinators are important: vital to the food we eat and crops

Bees by Gabriela Delworth

Today another image from my hiking adventures in Toronto. Love bees. Especially seeing the at work. Pollinators are important. Vital to the food we eat and crops.
How do pollinators like bees work? They transfer pollen and seeds from one flower to another. They fertilize plants in order to then grow and produce food. Why are pollinators important? Many plants depend on bees. Think about the food we eat like apples, almonds, blueberries, cherries, avocados, cucumbers, onions, grapefruit and the list continues...

We can help bees planting bee-friendly garden and flowers. Avoid pesticides!
Stay tuned for more photos of my hiking adventures.

Enjoy your Civic Holiday long weekend! Before you go did you see my other photos?
