Holiday Gift Wrapping Workshop: Japanese Style Packages. Modern and Vibrant.

We had a delightful and happy Christmas time. Loving the snow on the ground! I hope yours was lovely. Today I am sharing my latest workshop and participant's amazing creativity.

The Soho House Toronto invited me a while back to teach a Japanese Style Gift Wrapping Workshop. Let me say that I have a collection of beautiful papers and wrapping materials. For this special workshop I chose modern, simple and vibrant motifs. My idea was to develop wraps mixing and using papers for all occasions instead of Japanese papers. I styled the workshop samples on the image above. What do you think?

Above are photos of some of participant's packages. Aren't they beautiful? I am so proud of their creativity. They unleashed their creative senses combining colours and patterns to style the most amazing packages. Well done.
Participants really enjoyed the workshop. At the end of my Japanese Style Gift Wrapping Workshop participants realized that anyone can style a beautiful package. It's a art in itself.

These are some of their own words:

"I never thought about combining papers like this!"
"I find gift wrapping at this workshop very soothing."
"I see gift wrapping in a completely different way after attending this workshop".
"I never thought I would actually leave with a wrapped package and I did!"

How did you gift wrap your packages?

NOTE: Although my busiest season is during the Holidays I also teach Gift Wrapping Workshops all year round by request to private groups. Find more information here.
