St John's NL: Back to a dear place of mine in the Atlantic Ocean

After such a long wait we made it back to St. John's at The Rock, the eastern most province in Canada. This is a place I felt in love with on my first visit. One of the things I do once there is going for boat rides in the Atlantic ocean. The is nothing better to me than fresh air, open skies and blue waters. It feels great being at sea, watching birds and whales. It gives me a sense of freedom and peace.
If you take a closer look on the photo above you will see the back of a humpback whale. It's right there. Can you see it?

Take a look at Signal Hill on the photos above. It is by far the most popular landmark in St. John's. This is the place where Guglielmo Marconi received the world's first transatlantic wireless signal back in 1901. This historic place was St. John's coastal defense from the 17th century to the Second World War.

This is one of the museums we visited. Stay tuned for more posts about this trip!

Happy travels!
