How I clean our Monstera Deliciosa leaves with essential oils to keep them shinning.

The "plant parenthood" way of life has become one of the most trendy things and it is here to stay. I have been a proud so called "plant parent" most of my life. Have many very happy and healthy indoor plants. It has been proven many times that living with plants is good for you.

Monstera Deliciosa has been and will be one of the most popular indoor plants. If you are looking to add a big one to your indoor garden they can be quite expensive. My research lead to what is now one of my go to small vendors shop. It is also a well established florist that during the pandemic grew into a fabulous plant store!

Monstera is very easy to care for. Make sure though you turn them around.

These are my tips:

  • Find them a spot with good light. Natural light if you can or LED.
  • Make sure they have enough space to grow and move. Yes! Plants move.
  • Water the regularly letting soil dry between waterings.
  • Keep leaves clean as plants need to breath:
  •  A soft cloth (old sock will do). Or a soft glove available at stores.
  • A small spray bottle filled with filtered water. Do not want chlorine, right?
  • A few drops of Peppermint essential oil. Wonderful fragrance!
  • Use very little liquid on your cloth to wipe off your plants.
  • Peppermint essential oil keeps uninvited bugs off as they do not enjoy it.

Happy Gardening!
